Super Mario Run launched for Android, here's why its cool

The Italian plumber now arrives on Android. The much awaited Super Mario Run, which made its debut on iOS in December, has now arrived on the Play Store. The game is almost identical to the iOS variant of the game.

Super Mario Run is available for free on the Play Store, however it involves an in-app purchase, making the game free to try. The game gets the three trial modes under the World Tour, Toad Rally and Kingdom Builder. After completion of these modes the game will ask you to pay a onetime fee of Rs 800 to unlock further modes and levels.

The game is not an endless runner like Temple run or Subway Surfer, and is spaced out in different levels. All you need to do is tap to make the plumber jump to collect coins and other goodies.

Super Mario Run was downloaded 40-million times on iOS platform, within the first four days of the unveiling of the game, however, sadly, only 5 percent of players actually went to pay the onetime fee to unlock the entire game.

Along with the Android version, Super Mario Run on iOS also gets bumped up to version 2.0. This was notified by a tweet sent by Super Mario Run’s official twitter handle.

The twitter post also included an image of four new coloured Yoshi’s, which are expected to be included in this update. The same variant is hitting the Play Store too.
