Google Photos is a fine photo storing app which not only displays images well but also backs them up for free on the cloud for you.It did have a few neat editing tools the first time it was introduced and with time, more tools were added to the mix to make it more useful and practical.
Google has added another noteworthy editing feature into the Google Photos App, and this time it is first making its debut on the Android variant of its app.
Google Photos has added a basic auto adjustment AKA auto white balance feature to its editing tools. What it does is, looks into the image and fixes the lighting, exposure, contrast and saturation on the subject and the background to deliver better looking and natural lights and contrast in the image. The update is currently live for Android users, and iOS users will have to wait for a while longer to try this out.
Google has also started rolling out Google Assistant to devices running Android 6.0 Marshmallow or higher today. The Google Assistant was first only exclusive on the Google Pixel and Pixel XL.
However, Google Assistant made its debut in OEM smartphones with the unveiling of LG's G6 at MWC 2017, which included Google Assistant into its UI. Post this Google stated that it'll start rolling out the Google Assistant to every Android smartphone running version 6.0 Marshmallow or higher.
The update will hit through Google's Play Services. The assistant is currently functioning only in English, so the update will first roll out to users in the US, followed by those in Australia, Canada and the UK. non-English speaking countries like India will have to wait a while longer to try out the Google Assistant.
